It's August and as we enter the final month of summer, it comes the time to update our monthly highlights!
Last month, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of Elvis Presley's first release, "That's All Right," in July 1954. Looking at three of the King's most iconic albums, we focused on "Elvis Presley" (1956), "For LP Fans Only" (1959) and "From Elvis in Memphis" (1969).
This month, we are jumping forward by about forty years. In August 1994, a relatively unknown Manchester band headed by a brash, but brilliant, brotherly duo, released their debut album. You've definitely heard of them, or maybe you haven't, but this first album provided Oasis with their breakthrough, as Britpop stormed the charts ready to leave its mark on the country's music scene.
So, to celebrate thirty years since the release of "Definitely Maybe," we are focusing on three of the greatest Britpop albums, from the era of CDs, curtains and Cool Britannia. Head on over to home page to check them out!
